Today we are reading one of my favorite books, Thundercake, by Patricia Palacco. In this story a little girl and her grandmother gather ingredients for a chocolate cake and she learns not to be afraid of a storm. We practice remembering the ingredients and counting to 10.  Here are some pictures of my cooking assistant making a cake like the one in the story.
